what the number covers.

What is actually in the estimate

The calculator compares like with like. Here is what sits behind each side of the comparison, so you can judge whether the figure is realistic for your business.

{01}

Your current cost

For recruitment, the agency fee you pay per placement across a year of hiring. For an offshore team, the fully loaded local cost of employing those people — salary plus the employer overhead that comes with it.

{02}

The Bumsa cost

For RPO, a managed recruitment engagement rather than per-placement fees. For offshore, the wage you set plus one transparent markup covering statutory contributions, benefits, HR, compliance and workspace.

{03}

What is not counted

Your internal time, the cost of a vacancy staying open, and the cost of a mis-hire. All three are real and all three favour outsourcing, but none of them can be estimated honestly from a slider.

{04}

Why it is a range, not a quote

Market, seniority, volume and how much of the process you hand over all move the number. We scope and quote properly before any work begins — this is the conversation starter.

where it comes from.

The saving is structural, not a discount

We are not simply undercutting an agency. The cost is lower because the model is different.

Per-placement agency fees scale with every hire you make, so a good year of growth becomes an expensive one. A managed engagement does not work that way — the cost is tied to the work rather than to a percentage of each salary.

On the offshore side, the saving comes from delivery location and from you not needing an entity, a payroll function or an HR team in India. Our people there are properly employed, properly paid and properly covered. The saving is in the overhead, not in the wage.

No per-placement % Recruitment priced as an engagement, not a cut of every salary.
No entity needed Employ in India without incorporating, and without a local HR function.
Capacity, not headcount Scale up for a busy quarter and back down after it.

Before you trust any calculator, including this one

{01}

We have not inflated the defaults

The starting values are ordinary Canadian figures, not worst-case numbers chosen to make the saving look dramatic.

{02}

The excluded costs favour us

Vacancy cost, internal time and mis-hire cost are all left out. Including them would raise the saving, which is exactly why we left them out.

{03}

It is an estimate and we say so

A slider cannot know your market, your seniority mix or your process. Anyone presenting this as a guaranteed figure is selling you something.

{04}

The real number comes from a scope

We look at your actual hiring or your actual roles, then quote. If outsourcing is not the right call for you, we will say that too.

01.How accurate is this calculator?
It is an estimate built on ordinary Canadian figures, useful for deciding whether a conversation is worth having. It cannot know your market, seniority mix or how much of the process you want to hand over, so treat the output as a range rather than a price.
02.Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. There is no form, no submission and nothing recorded — which is why you can use it without giving us an email address.
03.Why are vacancy and mis-hire costs excluded?
Because they vary enormously and we cannot estimate them honestly from a slider. Both would increase the saving, so leaving them out keeps the figure conservative.
04.What should I do with the number?
Use it to decide whether to have a conversation. If the estimate looks meaningful for your business, we will scope it properly and give you a real cost.
01.How is RPO priced?
As a managed engagement rather than a percentage of each salary. The cost is tied to the work — volume, role complexity and how much of the lifecycle we run — so a good year of hiring does not automatically become an expensive one.
02.Is there a minimum commitment?
It depends on scope. Some clients start with a single hard-to-fill role to test the process, others hand over a full hiring programme from the start. We will tell you honestly which suits your situation.
03.What if we only want part of the process?
That is common. RPO can cover the full lifecycle or a single stage such as sourcing, screening or interview coordination. Many clients begin with one function and expand once it is proven. See RPO services.
04.Do you charge if a hire does not work out?
Guarantees and replacement terms are agreed in the engagement before work begins, in writing. We would rather set that expectation up front than argue about it later.
01.How is the offshore cost calculated?
A single multiple of the employee’s actual wage — typically 1.75× — covering statutory contributions, benefits, HR, compliance, workspace and our fee. Because the markup sits on a wage you set, you always know what your employee earns. See EOR services.
02.Is the saving coming out of the worker’s pay?
No, and this matters to us. You set the wage, and we will advise you on what it takes to be competitive in that market. The saving comes from delivery location and from you not needing an entity, payroll function or HR team in India.
03.What is the difference between BPO and EOR here?
BPO means we run a process for you with our own managed team. EOR means you choose the person and direct their work, and we employ them legally on your behalf. The calculator treats both as offshore delivery.
04.Can we move to our own entity later?
Yes, and we will help. When headcount makes an entity worthwhile, we support the transfer of employment and preserve service continuity. There is no penalty for leaving.
